The working period for rectification of a floating sea barrier at Sentosa has been extended. The work is now being conducted until 5 July.
According to The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.2 of 2026, the work is being carried out between 0800 and 1900 hours daily - including Sundays and public holidays - at sea, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°14·725'N / 103°49·263'E
2) 01°14.753’N / 103°49·295'E
3) 01°14.528’N / 103°49·540'E
4) 01°14.412’N / 103°49·715'E
5) 01°14.392’N / 103°49·697'E
6) 01°14.503’N / 103°49·513'E
The repair work of the floating sea barriers will be carried out by crane barge assisted by tugboats.
A safety boat will attend at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.
Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West control for assistance, if required.
