Reconstruction & repair for revetment

The working period for reconstruction and repair for the revetment at Tanjong Barlayer has been extended. The work will now be carried out from 1 April to 30 September.

According to Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore Port Marine Circular No.20 of 2020, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 15.988'N / 103 deg. 48.078'E
2) 1 deg. 16.005'N / 103 deg. 48.054'E
3) 1 deg. 15.957'N / 103 deg. 48.019'E
4) 1 deg. 15.704'N / 103 deg. 48.318'E
5) 1 deg. 15.899'N / 103 deg. 48.448'E
6) 1 deg. 15.932'N / 103 deg. 48.413'E
7) 1 deg. 15.900'N / 103 deg. 48.380'E
8) 1 deg. 15.882'N / 103 deg. 48.393'E
9) 1 deg. 15.766'N / 103 deg. 48.271'E
10) 1 deg. 15.955'N / 103 deg. 48.063'E

Repair and reconstruction work of revetment will be carried out along Tanjong Berlayar.

Transportation of rocks and reconstruction works will be carried out with the use of barges, with tug boats pushing them in place.

Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control for assistance, if required.
