Reclamation work at Pulau Tekong

The working period has been extended for reclamation work at Pulau Tekong. The work is now being carried out from 29 March to 28 September.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.030 of 2019, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Reclamation work will involve filling, dredging and construction of revetment, soil investigation and soil improvement work. Soil improvement work will entail stabilized dredging, sand piling and deep cement mixing. The dredgers will be used for the bund construction within the working area. A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
