Pulau Ubin shoreline and mangrove restoration works

The working period for Pulau Ubin shoreline and mangrove restoration work has been extended, and the work is now being conducted until 3 January 2026.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.104 of 2025, the work is being carried out between 0800 and 1900 hours local time daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - along the shores of Pulau Ubin, within the working areas bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Working Area A- (Sungai Besar)
1) 1 deg .25.076”N / 103 deg. 57.460”E
2) 1 deg. 25.091”N / 103 deg. 57.463”E
3) 1 deg. 25.083”N / 103 deg. 57.595”E
4) 1 deg. 25.059”N / 103 deg. 57.595”E

Working Area B- (Noordin Beach)

2) 1 deg. 25.120”N / 103 deg. 57.710”E
3) 1 deg. 25.185”N / 103 deg. 57.905”E
4) 1 deg. 25.188”N / 103 deg. 58.087”E

Working Area C - (Mamam Beach)

Working Area D - (Sungai Durian)

Construction works along the shoreline will be carried out by work barges, assisted by tugboats.

A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working areas.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the respective working areas, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working areas;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control); and Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
