Official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed on Monday, 15 July, due to a public holiday for the country’s Democracy Day.
Vessels should make arrangements for crew change, spares delivery, provisions, etc. in order to save money and time. Some ports may be closed for the holiday whilst others will increase fees for official services (such as pilotage, towage, mooring, customs, etc.) on the holiday by 50%. Pilotage costs for Turkish Straits transits will be increased by 50%.
Therefore, please check with GAC Turkey prior to calling at any Turkish port.
