Public Holiday announced

Omani Ministries, Public Authorities and other Government Departments will be closed from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 January (including the weekend) for the official holiday to mark sixth anniversary of Sultan Haitham’s ascension to throne and Al-Issra Wa Al- Miraj.

There will therefore be delays in receiving official approval as less government staff during the holiday.

During this period, the Sohar port operation office will as per our normal working schedule. All marine movements during the holiday period will be on overtime basis. Advario Terminals LLC and VALE Terminal will operate as usual, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sohar Port Gate passes cannot be issued during the holidays.

Visa applications can be applied during this period but approvals are subject to attendance of Immigration officials, and delays are expected.

GAC’s offices will be closed during the holiday period, with work resuming on Monday 19 January. However, a limited workforce will be available to attend to urgent matters, and the 24-hour Hot Line at + 968 91392726 will be in operation.
