Province extends smart lockdown

The Government of the Province of Balochistan has decided to extend the province-wide smart lockdown enforced to curb the spread of the coronavirus until 17 August.

Restrictions in force during the lockdown include:

  • A ban on gatherings of more than 10 people.
  • No more than two people will not be allowed to travel in the same car.
  • Wearing face mask is mandatory at public places.
  • All educational institutions, marriage halls, parks, auditoriums, cinemas, farmhouses and places of entertainment will remain closed.
  • Shops/malls will be allowed to remain open from 9am to 10pm six days a week.
