PROHIBITION ON VESSELS ANCHORING IN THE DEMARCATED AREAS WITHIN THE EASTERN AND EASTERN HOLDING C ANCHORAGES, AND ENHANCED SECURITY MEASURES FROM 13 TO 15 NOV 2018

Applicable to: Mariners operating in the vicinity of anchorages, fairways and channels in the eastern part of Singapore.

Pursuant to Regulation 45 (2) of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Port) Regulations, the Port Master hereby prohibits all vessels from transiting, anchoring or remaining in the demarcated areas within the Eastern Anchorage (AEW) and Eastern Holding C Anchorage (AEHC) as shown in the attached chartlets (Appendix 1 and 2). This prohibition shall take effect from 1700hrs on 13 Nov 2018 to 2359hrs on 15 Nov 2018.

2. The demarcated areas referred to in the preceding paragraph area bounded by the following coordinates:

3. Vessels that are currently anchored within the demarcated areas are required to shift out of the areas by 1200hrs on the 13 Nov 2018.

4. Enhanced security measures will be implemented in the eastern part of Singapore port waters from 13 to 15 Nov 2018. Mariners are reminded to comply strictly with all instructions issued by the security agencies when navigating in the Eastern Anchorage, Eastern Holding “Alpha”, Eastern Holding “Bravo” and Eastern Petroleum “Alpha” Anchorages.

5. Mariners are to take note that there will be increased security checks on craft and vessels plying the Eastern Anchorage, Eastern Holding “Alpha” Anchorage, Eastern Holding “Bravo” Anchorage and Eastern Petroleum “Alpha” Anchorage on 13, 14 and 15 November 2018.

6. Please refer to Port Marine Circular (PMC) No. 02 of 2018 “Revision of Anchorages, Fairways and Channels in Port”. LNG carriers, LPG carriers and chemical tankers are strictly prohibited from anchoring at anchorages other than the designated locations as stated in the PMC.
