Prohibition of port calls by vessels related to Israel

Vessels and cargo operations with any relation to Israel are prohibited from calling at any Turkish port. Specifically:

  • Direct vessel calls from Israel and direct sailings to Israel are prohibited.
  • Turkish-flagged vessels are prohibited from calling at Israeli ports.
  • If a company connected to Israel is involved in CSR, ISM, or even BIMCO-related procedures, such vessels will not be allowed entry into Turkish ports.
  • Vessels will be required to submit BIMCO SHIPMAN 2009 prior arrival to verify they have no connection with Israel.
  • No cargo related to Israel will be allowed to be handled at Turkish ports, including container transshipment.
  • There is no restriction if a vessel carries Israel-related in-transit cargo without any cargo operations (except for IMO Class 1 & IMO Class 7).
