04 Nov 2015 / New South Wales, Australia
The Port Authority of New South Wales will increase prices applicable to all vessels in the ports of Sydney Harbour, Port Botany, Port Kembla, Eden and Yamba effective from 1 January 2016.
During the last few months, Port Authority has been conducting a price review of its main statutory port charges following the successful amalgamation on 1 July 2014 of the residual State owned components of the three main ports: Sydney, Newcastle and Port Kembla. Until then, each port had adopted its own pricing strategy.
The Port Authority therefore intends to implement a 4.71% increase to all statutory and miscellaneous charges in the ports of Sydney Harbour, Port Botany, Port Kembla, Eden and Yamba, excluding Wharfage and the Passenger Based Site Occupation Charge in Sydney Harbour from 1 January 2016.
