The strike by contract workers at the NPTL Thermal Power Station is still ongoing, without an agreement being reached.
However, NTPL Terminal authorities resumed discharge operations from 8 May, using their permanent staff/officers. Such operations are limited to daylight hours (0800 to 1800 hours), resulting in reduced productivity.
