Mariners are advised that intermittent disruptions affecting the accuracy of Global Positioning System (GPS) signals may occur within port waters and nearby approaches. These may be due to external factors beyond the port’s control.
All vessels are reminded to avoid sole reliance on GPS for navigation and to cross-check positions using all available means, including radar, visual bearings, and parallel indexing. Any observed GPS anomalies or errors should be promptly reported to Port VTS.
