The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has warned of possible disruptions due to actions planned by environmental protest group Code Rouge between 10 and 12 October.
Code Rouge is planning protests in several European countries, including Belgium. Although specific targets are not yet known, logistics, transport and energy remain possible focus points.
In an update issued yesterday (2 October), port companies are urged to exercise increased vigilance and take preventive measures.
Police and security services are closely monitoring the situation and will dynamically scale up their presence where necessary.
