The ports of Houston, Galveston, Beaumont and Port Arthur were closed due to fog last last night (28 January). Houston Pilots advise that the channel was closed at 2205 hours local time, while the Sabine River Pilot Office advises that the channel was closed at 2221 hours. [UPDATE: Houston Pilots resumed vessel boardings for inbound traffic at 0925 hours local time today (29 January 2015). Sabine River Pilot Office reopened at 1000 hours this morning. Channel reopened.
