Port staff issue strike notice

A strike notice spanning the period from 20 December to 5 January has been lodged by staff of Nantes – Saint-Nazaire port. Crane drivers and dockers are currently not involved.

As a result, installation/removal of shore gangways in Donges, Montoir MLQ, Saint-Nazaire will not be possible during the following periods:
- from 0500 hours on 20 December to 0500 hours on 22 December
- from 0500 hours on 25 December to 0500 hours on 26 December
- from 0500 hours on 27 December to 0500 hours on 29 December
- from 0500 hours on 1 January to 0500 hours on 2 January
- from 0500 hours on 3 January to 0500 hours on 5 January

Lock keepers will also stage a strike as follows (exact timings to be confirmed):
- from 0000 hours on 20 December to 0000 hours on 22 December
- from 0000 hours on 25 December to 0000 hours on 26 December
- from 0000 hours on 27 December to 0000 hours on 29 December
- from 0000 hours on 1 January to 0000 hours on 2 January
- from 0000 hours on 3 January to 0000 hours on 5 January

A strike notice has been lodged by the staff of the towage company, BOLUDA, for the period from 0900 on 23 December to 0900 on 24 December. Negotiations are reported to be under progress.
