The Harbourmaster at Broome has advised that the port opened to all shipping from 1200 hours local time yesterday (7 January) following the passage of Cyclone Blake.
The opening of the port does not imply that conditions are safe for all small vessel operations. Mariners should make their own assessment of the sea state and weather conditions to ensure the safety of their operations.
