Port preparations for developing storm

The Meteorological department has indicated a tropical storm developing in the Arabian Sea. The forecast presently shows the possibility of the storm passing very close to Salalah before making landfall (present estimate is the morning of 26 May).

We are monitoring its path and shall keep you updated but as a precautionary measure and for the safety of staff, customers, contractors and equipment please ensure that:

  1. All non-essential equipment, vehicles, movable equipment, are secured.
  2. All non-essential staff refrain from entering the port and essential staff are ready to move out at a short notice.
  3. Vessels not required at berth for cargo operations must be ready to vacate berth.
