Operations at Chittagong Port resumed at 0800 hours local time this morning (9 February) after protesting employees postponed their indefinite strike until 15 February 15.
Loading and unloading of cargo and containers at all jetties of the port’s three terminals have resumed, along with cargo handling activities at the port’s outer anchorage.
Cargo and container handling at all eight vessels at the jetties under the General Cargo Berth (GCB) also resumed as workers joined the morning shift starting at 8:00am.
