Re-suspension of docking activities

25 Jul 2025 / Batangas, Philippines

Based on real-time observations during today’s initial docking activity, prevailing sea conditions at Calaca Seaport Terminals were found to be unstable and potentially unsafe for continued operations.

During the attempted berthing of the first inbound vessel, significant rolling was observed while alongside, prompting the abortion of docking maneuvers as a safety precaution.

Therefore, all subsequent docking activities are to be temporarily held until conditions show signs of improvement.

This advisory is issued as a precautionary measure, and stakeholders are reminded to independently assess risks based on their operational judgment and coordination with their respective Vessel Masters.

The Port Authority will continue to monitor prevailing conditions.
