Planned easing of COVID-19 restrictions

25 May 2020 / South Africa

South Africa plans to reduce its COVID-19 lockdown restrictions to Level 3 from next Monday, 1 June. Level 3 involves the easing of some restrictions, including on work and social activities.

Until then, the country is continuing to operate under Level 4, which means some activity can resume, subject to extreme precautions required to limit community transmission and outbreaks.
