Phased softening of lockdown

Pakistan’s Prime Minister has announced a phased softening of the nationwide lockdown, starting from tomorrow, 9 May.

The suspension of domestic flight operations has been extended to Sunday, 10 May, while international flights remain suspended until 15 May.

Train services and local public transport remain suspended.

Certain small markets and retail outlets will be allowed to operate from early morning to 5pm, but will remain closed for two days per week. Marriage halls, shopping malls and dine-in restaurants remain closed. All educational institutions will remain closed until 15 July.
