Effective from 1 July 2018, China has added Panama to the list of vessel registered countries to be entitled to the preferential rate for tonnage dues.
The preferential rate, compared to the general rate, is as follows:

- 90 days: 4,2
-30 days: 2,1

- 1 year: 9
- 90 days: 3
- 30 days: 1,5
2,000 T < NRT ≤ 10,000 T

- 1 year: 17,4
- 90 days: 5,8
- 30 days: 2,9
10,000 T < NRT ≤ 50,000 T
General Rate
- 1 year: 27,6
- 90 days: 9,2
-30 days: 4,6

- 90 days: 6,6
- 30 days: 3,3

- 1 year: 31,8
- 90 days: 10,6

Liberia: Preferential Rate valid to 13 February 2019.
Panama: Preferential Rate valid to 16 May 2021.
