Operation of temporary jetty & RoRo ramp

The working period for the operation of a temporary jetty and RoRo ramp east of Tuas View has been extended and will now run 24 hours daily including Sundays & Public Holidays from 18 February to 17 August.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.017 of 2019, it will be within the working areas bounded by the following coordinates:

WORKING AREA A (WGS 84 Datum)
1) 01 deg. 18.750'N / 103 deg. 38.093'E
2) 01 deg. 18.662'N / 103 deg. 38.174'E
3) 01 deg. 18.629'N / 103 deg. 38.135'E
4) 01 deg. 18.711'N / 103 deg. 38.066'E

WORKING AREA B (WGS 84 Datum)
5) 01 deg. 16.891'N / 103 deg. 38.978'E
6) 01 deg. 16.855'N / 103 deg. 39.022'E
7) 01 deg. 16.804'N / 103 deg. 38.982'E
8) 01 deg. 16.837'N / 103 deg. 38.940'E

At Working Area A, a RoRo ramp was constructed to facilitate loading of materials, construction plant and equipment onto the work barges, for transportation to load out jetty at Tuas View Basin and vice versa. These barges will be assisted by tugs.

At Working Area B, a temporary load out jetty and a RoRo ramp were constructed to facilitate receiving of materials, construction plant and equipment.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area of the project.

Craft involved in the operations will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working areas, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working areas;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
