The Panama Canal Authority has made available the Green Connection Environmental Recognition Program application at the Maritime Service Portal [https://serviceportal.pancanal.com/sp/]. In order to facilitate the use of this new application to process requests, a user’s manual has also been published in the ‘Customer Service’ menu option.
Interested parties should submit all documentation which supports the environmental efficiency rating at least 96 hours prior to the vessel’s arrival at Canal waters through the Maritime Service Portal.
The awarding of the bonus percentage for transiting vessels will begin effective January 1, 2017.
