Onboard fire temporarily halts port ops

Port operations at Port Kembla were suspended after a fire broke out onboard a bulk vessel alongside BlueScope Berth 113. Port movements were resumed at approximately 11.30 hours local time today (18th June). There are no reports of crew injuries.

The vessel, a regular caller at Port Kembla, was discharging dolomite and scheduled to shift on 20 June to the Coal Terminal to load coking coal for Whyalla, South Australia.
