VTS Houston/Galveston temporarily suspended vessel movements within Jacinto Port Slip, including Houston Fuel and Oil Dock 1/2 due to an oil spill at Jacinto Port Ship Dock 1. Wake and surge considerations were also imposed for passing Houston Ship Channel traffic.
Jacinto Port Slip and Houston Fuel and Oil Docks were reopened to all vessel traffic at 0227 hours local time today (28 July) after the spill was contained.
