Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) precautions

Ministry of Health, port quarantine department directs as follows:

  1. Any vessel that visited China, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Iran, the vessel crew and the nationals of the said countries are not permitted to proceed ashore, even if 14 days have elapsed since departure from the countries mentioned above.

  2. All shipping agents are requested to submit/mail list of last 10 ports called and crew list with their nationality of vessel calling under their agency to the port quarantine department (Dr. Mohammed – 99087246), port control and port HSSE department, without which the Pre Arrival Notification will not be approved on vessel declaration portal.

  3. All shipping agents are to declare the vessels arriving from China, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Iran, well in advance to the port quarantine department, port control and port HSSE department with all required documents including that narrating the health condition of the crew onboard.

  4. Kindly inform your good vessels to ensure sufficient stock of dispensers of alcohol based hand sanitizer, PPE, such as face masks, N95 respirators and disposable gloves are maintained donned by vessel crew, also insist to use/done the said protective measures by all shore personnel (pilot, agent, customs, immigration, quarantine staff) visiting the vessel during her port stay. All used PPE must be disposed of safely in the trash and not to be reused.
