Effective from today (11 September) there will be no ship movements past the TX Dot ferry landings between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00.
This night-time restriction has been introduced to reduce the amount of downtime for dredging operations taking place in the vicinity and to minimize the impact to ferry operations.
Dredging in the area is expected to be completed by 17 September, at which time the restriction will be lifted.
