The Port of Fujairah has announced the completion of the construction of VLCC Berth 1. The manoeuvre basin and alongside berth are dredged to -26 meters and it can accommodate LOA of between 240 to 344 meters and DWT of 60,000 – 330,000. Maximum displacement is 87,000 – 363,000 tonnes. The berth has 4 navigation beacon masts, 4 buoys, 4 Shibata fenders and Quick Release Hooks for up to 20 lines: 8 breast lines fore, 8 aft and 4 spring lines.
According to the Port, the Dynamic Mooring Analysis Study shows perfect orientation of the jetty which is parallel to the breakwater (heading of ship is 352° relative to true North).
