New travel restrictions

The Government of Oman has imposed new travel regulations restricting the entry of non-vaccinated visitors. Visitors and crew entering Oman should be fully vaccinated and carry a certificate issued by the relevant authorities in their home country.

The Ministry of Health accepts the following vaccines to enter Oman: AstraZeneca/Covishield; AstraZeneca/Oxford; Pfizer/BioNTech; Sinovac; Sputnik V; Sinofam; Johnson & Johnson; and Moderna.

The following documents are required to arrange sea crew visas:
- Clear Passport copy (with 6 months validity).
- Clear Seaman Book copy.
- Passport Size Photo (image of crew in civilian wear)
- Clear copy of Covid Vaccination Certificate.
The visa process takes 1-2 working days.

Fully vaccinated crew can disembark at Sohar without restrictions.

Non-vaccinated off-signers may disembark at Sohar if they agree to have at least the 1st dose of vaccination in Oman. The Pfizer vaccine is available in Oman.

Oman’s Supreme Committee on Covid-19 pandemic has banned entry of travelers from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe , Lesotho, Eswatini and Mozambique as well as other travelers who have passed through these countries over the past 14 days after the outbreak of new coronavirus variant in these countries.
