Due to shoaling in the Bolivar Roads area of the Houston Ship Channel, Houston Pilots are limiting the maximum allowable freshwater draft to 44 feet.
The arrival of vessels already bound for Houston with a draft over 44 feet will be accommodated with a suitable tide level of at least +1 on the tide gauge. Advance notice should be given of any over 44’ arrivals.
