The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) promulgated a final rule amending the user fee regulations by adding new fee categories and adjusting current fees for certain agricultural quarantine and inspection services that are provided in connection with certain commercial vessels and others.
The commercial vessel user fee will increase from USD496 to USD825.
Further, the restriction on the number of payments in a year (previously set at 15) has been removed, which will represent a significant increase for frequent callers.
The amendments will enter into effect on 28 December 2015.
