The Port of Fujairah has issued a reminder that only one shipping agent is allowed to register a ship with the port.
In its Notice to Agents No.10/2016 dated 10 March 2016, the port states that it is getting multiple vessel nominations from different agents for single vessels. Multiple agents for a single vessel are not allowed and the same is against port procedures.
Receiving multiple ISPS forms and ship related documents from different agents would confuse the Control Tower and lead to a delay in permissions being granted.
