Berthing and unberthing operations for loaded vessels must be in conjunction with high tide, taking into account under keel clearance, nautical depth and prevailing sea and weather conditions. Vessels intending to make use of the tide and load to declared depth should request permission from the Dy. Conservator/Harbour Master 24 hours before completion.
Despite the lifting of monsoon season restrictions, the Port Authority urges due caution as the weather may deteriorate without warning.
