Modified berthing policy for liquid cargo

Deendayal Port has modified its berthing policy for liquid cargo, effective from 11:00 hours on July 10, 2026, as follows:

  • Withdrawal with immediate effect of the 15% enhancement in productivity norms for all liquid cargo commodities.

  • Vessels discharging liquid cargo at the Oil Jetty not to be pulled out to OTB by the port if unable to complete cargo operations and sail out within the allotted time, subject to the following conditions:
    a) The remaining quantity should not exceed 100 MT, or the cargo operation for the remaining quantity should be completed within one hour, whichever is earlier;
    b) Penal berth hire charges of INR 10,000 per hour shall be levied for any excess time utilized by the vessel beyond the permissible time.
