Marker buoys demarcating Wong Chuk Kok Hoi & Mirs Bay Fish Culture Zones

12 marker buoys have been established to demarcate the Wong Chuk Kok Hoi and Mirs Bay Fish Culture Zones (FCZs).

According to the Government of the Hong Kong SAR Marine Department Notice No.159/2025, the buoys will be laid at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Mirs Bay Fish Culture Zone

Co-ordinate: 22° 28.359’N / 114° 23.152’E

Co-ordinate: 22° 27.902’N / 114° 22.838’E

All the above-mentioned marker buoys share the following characteristics:

Shape: Pillar
Colour: Yellow
Light characteristics: Q.Y.
Top Mark: Yellow “X”
Radar Reflector: Fitted

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and give a wide berth to the buoys.
