The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has issued a directive related to maritime interactions with Port Sudan, with immediate effect.
This includes:
1) Suspension of sailing permits: No sailing permits to be issues to UAE-flagged vessels for voyages to Port Sudan.
2) Prohibition of cargo movement: The handling of any cargo or containers, whether for import or export, originating from or destined to Port Sudan, including transshipment, is prohibited.
