For approximately two weeks, marine works involving backfilling for protection of immersed tunnel units are being carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent pier:
(A) 22° 17.856’N 114° 10.974’E
(B) 22° 17.618’N 114° 11.024’E
(C) 22° 17.598’N 114° 10.922’E
(D) 22° 17.946’N 114° 10.864’E
(E) 22° 17.959’N 114° 10.955’E

The works are being carried out by one dumb lighter and two work boats. Two tugboats provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the lighter is established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights are laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.

The hours of work are from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works are being carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will not stay in the Hung Hom Fairway outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
