Marine works between Chek Lap Kok and Tung Chung

For approximately 14 months, marine works involving marine bored piling works are being carried out between 0700 and 1900 hours in two works areas between Chek Lap Kok and Tung Chung.

The works will be carried out by three crane barges, two flat-top barges and a work boat with assistance from two tugboats. Vessels engaged in the works display signals prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the working vessels is established with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights marking the positions of their anchors.

No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay at the works areas outside the hours of work.

Silt curtains are established within the works areas with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights marking their extent.
