Marine soil investigation works for NGEH-Gravifloat

From 5 to 31 May, marine soil investigation works for the NGEH-Gravifloat will be conducted in the vicinity of Selat Sinki.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore No.52 of 2025, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°15.241'N / 103°44.401’E
2) 01°15.239’N / 103°44.158’E
3) 01°15.132’N / 103°44.162’E
4) 01°15.130’N / 103°44.400’E

The soil investigation work will be carried out by jack-up barges assisted by tug boats.

Safety boats will be in attendance to warn and direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (Sinki Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sinki Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
