Marine soil investigation works at Brani

From 1 October to 30 November, marine soil investigations works will be conducted to enhance foreshore infrastructures at Brani.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.126 of 2025, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at sea, within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
BH-BR1) 01° 15·325'N / 103° 50·277'E
BH-BR2) 01° 15·358'N / 103° 50·343'E
BH-BR3) 01° 15·384'N / 103° 50·408'E

Soil investigation works will be carried out using one jack-up barge.

Two tugs will be deployed to assist the positioning of the jack-up barge.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 05 (Keppel Control);
and
e) Communicate with Keppel Control for assistance, if required.
