Marine soil investigation off Tanjong Gul

From 17 November to 16 April 2026, marine soil investigation work will be carried out south of Tanjong Gul.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.148 of 2025, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & public holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
MB-01) 01°17.437’N / 103°40.138’E
MB-02) 01°17.497'N / 103°40.211’E
MB-03) 01°17.549'N / 103°40.273’E

Soil investigation work will be carried out by means of marine drilling from a jack-up barge. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the working barge.

A safety boat will be in attendance to warn vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and Communicate with East Control for assistance, if required.
