Marine soil investigation at Selat Pauh

From 5 May to 30 September marine soil investigation works will be carried out at Selat Pauh.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.039 of 2019 dated 3 May 2019, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
BH1) 1 deg. 12.827'N / 103 deg. 46.730'E
BH2) 1 deg. 12.933'N / 103 deg. 46.574'E
BH3) 1 deg. 13.009'N / 103 deg. 46.462'E
BH4) 1 deg. 13.085'N / 103 deg. 46.355'E
BH5) 1 deg. 13.178'N / 103 deg. 46.252'E
BH6) 1 deg. 13.265'N / 103 deg. 46.148'E
BH7) 1 deg. 13.335'N / 103 deg. 46.066'E
BH8) 1 deg. 13.405'N / 103 deg. 45.983'E
BH9) 1 deg. 13.439'N / 103 deg. 45.942'E
BH10) 1 deg. 13.474'N / 103 deg. 45.901'E
BH11) 1 deg. 12.751'N / 103 deg. 46.842'E

Work boats with rotary drilling rig will be used to carry out the soil investigation work. The work boats will be assisted by tug boats. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
