Marine site investigation southeast of Sunshine Island

For approximately six months from July 3, 2026, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes are being carried out southeast of Sunshine Island.

The work is being carried out by four jack-up barges, assisted by two tugboats. These vessels display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around each jack-up barge is established with yellow flashing lights at the four corners.

The hours of work are from 0700 to 1900 hours local time with no works being conducted on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels involved in the work will stay in the area outside the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
