Marine Site Investigation between Sham Shui Kok and Sunny Bay, Lantau Island

For approximately three months, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes are being carried out at the following locations (WGS 84 Datum):
(A) 22° 20.329’N 114° 04.278’E
(B) 22° 20.273’N 114° 04.169’E
(C) 22° 19.635’N 114° 01.411’E
(D) 22° 19.594’N 114° 00.630’E
(E) 22° 19.591’N 114° 00.479’E
(F) 22° 19.593’N 114° 00.339’E
(G) 22° 19.274’N 114° 00.088’E

The works are being carried out by one jack-up barges. One tugboat and three work boats provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around the barge is established. Yellow flashing lights [are] installed at the four corners of the barge to indicate its position.

The hours of work are from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works are being carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works stay in the works locations outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
