Marine site investigation at Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter

For approximately four months, marine site investigation works involving soil sampling and in-situ testing will be carried out in the following locations (WGS 84 Datum):
(A) 22° 22.807’N 113° 58.445’E
(B) 22° 22.757’N 113° 58.440’E
(C) 22° 22.730’N 113° 58.374’E
(D) 22° 22.691’N 113° 58.265’E

The works will be carried out by one work boat and two jack-up barges. One tugboat will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 20 metres around each barge will be established. Yellow flashing lights will be installed at the four corners of each jack-up barge to indicate its position.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works locations outside the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
