Marine piling works off Jurong Island

The working period for piling works off Jurong Island has been extended. The works will now be carried out 29 February to 30 April.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Circular No.04 of 2020, the work will be conducted from 0800 to 2200 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 17.371’N / 103 deg. 43.477'E
2) 01 deg. 17.381'N / 103 deg. 43.511'E
3) 01 deg. 17.327'N / 103 deg. 43.572'E
4) 01 deg. 17.302’N / 103 deg. 43.526'E

Marine piling works will be carried out with the use of crane barges. Tug boats will be used to tow the crane barges into position. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.
