Marine piling works off Jurong Island

From 30 September 2019 to 28 February 2020, marine piling works will be conducted off Jurong Island.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.084 of 2019, the works will be carried out between 0800 and 2200 hours daily, including Sundays & Public Holidays, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 17.371’N / 103 deg. 43.477'E
2) 01 deg. 17.381'N / 103 deg. 43.511’E
3) 01 deg. 17.327'N / 103 deg. 43.572’E
4) 01 deg. 17.302’N / 103 deg. 43.526’E

Marine piling works will be carried out with the use of crane barges. Tug boats will be used to tow the crane barges into position. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other vessels of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.
