Mandatory tug assistance (update)

Due to the limited capacity of the Big Locks at Brunsbuettel Locks, and to protect the lock gates, the following vessels will be obliged to accept tug assistance until 22 March:

  • All vessels (traffic group 3 or higher) entering the Locks first have to accept tug assistance
  • All vessels (traffic group 3 or higher) entering the Locks behind the first vessel and running risk to hit the lock gate directly have to accept tug assistance
  • All vessels (traffic group 3 or higher) entering the locks with no risk to hit the lock gate directly tug assistance will be not compulsory
