Mandatory precautions & guidelines

20 Mar 2020 / Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates

To limit the spread of respiratory infections including Coronavirus (COVID-19), we request you to adhere to the following practices with immediate effect.

  • All crewmembers on board should wear face masks covering the mouth and nose.
  • All crewmembers should wear disposable gloves and must adopt other best practices highlighting personal hygiene.
  • Vessel Master should submit the health declaration form prior to the arrival.
  • All Immigration requests related to Jebel Ali Port (vessel inbound registration & vessel clearance) can be submitted online to ([email protected]) with scanned copies of complete documents required by the Immigration. This will eliminate the ship visits for Shipping Agent Representatives to collect documents.
  • All operation reports and certificates will be prepared by DP World Operations Team, and will be shared via the registered Shipping Agent’s email; the acknowledgments of Chief Officers will not be required during the current circumstances.
  • To obtain special approval for boarding on any vessel, vessel agents/owners/representatives should submit the request to ([email protected]). This will be accepted for cases of supply emergency provisions, supply of spares (emergency repair cases only), other emergency situations and for any specific operations requirement deemed necessity as per nature of the business at the discretion of the Authority. All other General operational and social visits will not be permitted under any circumstances.
